ΠΡΟΣΚΛΗΣΗ ΣΥΜΜΕΤΟΧΗΣ 2008

Η ΕΡΤ, στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος για την αναβάθμιση της ελληνικής παραγωγής ντοκιμαντέρ, και σε συνεργασία με τη Βουλή-Τηλεόραση, διοργανώνει για τέταρτη συνεχή χρονιά το διεθνές «Επιμορφωτικό Πρόγραμμα Συμπαραγωγής Ντοκιμαντέρ» με τον τίτλο “The Greek Documentary Lab, for co-productions”.

Πρόκειται ουσιαστικά για τη συνέχεια του εξαιρετικά επιτυχημένου προγράμματος για την παραγωγή ιστορικών ντοκιμαντέρ History Doc, το οποίο από φέτος διευρύνει τη θεματολογία του με θέματα που αφορούν την Ιστορία αλλά και την τέχνη, την κοινωνία, την επιστήμη, κ.ά. Το ειδικευμένο πρόγραμμα προσφέρει στους Έλληνες και ξένους επαγγελματίες του οπτικοαουστικού χώρου εξειδικευμένη τεχνογνωσία για τη διεθνή συμπαραγωγή ταινιών με ξένα τηλεοπτικά δίκτυα και εταιρείες παραγωγής. Συνδιοργανωτές και χρηματοδότες του προγράμματος είναι η ΕΡΤ και η Βουλή–Τηλεόραση ενώ το περιεχόμενο και η υλοποίησή του πραγματοποιείται από το Ευρωπαϊκό Δίκτυο Ντοκιμαντέρ-EDN σε συνεργασία με την ΕΡΤ.

Στο πρόγραμμα διδάσκουν διακεκριμένα στελέχη τηλεοπτικών οργανισμών όπως τα: BBC, ZDF, HISTORY CHANNEL, DISCOVERY CHANNEL κ.ά, καθώς και ανεξάρτητοι σκηνοθέτες και παραγωγοί από όλο τον κόσμο.

Το πρόγραμμα θα υλοποιηθεί στην Αθήνα σε δύο φάσεις:

Η Α΄ Φάση-Σεμινάριο θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο διάστημα 2 έως 6 Μαΐου 2008. Διακεκριμένοι ομιλητές θα αναπτύξουν τα στάδια παραγωγής ενός ντοκιμαντέρ, από την σύλληψη της ιδέας έως την παραγωγή της ταινίας, με έμφαση στη συγγραφή σεναρίου, στην έρευνα και χρήση αρχειακού υλικού, στα δικαιώματα χρήσης αρχείων κ.ά. Παράλληλα, θα δοθεί έμφαση στη χρηματοδότηση, το μάρκετινγκ και τη διανομή μίας ταινίας ντοκιμαντέρ στη διεθνή αγορά. Ολοκληρώνοντας το σεμινάριο, οι συμμετέχοντες θα έχουν αποκτήσει ένα σημαντικό δίκτυο επαφών και γνωριμιών καθώς και τεχνογνωσία για τη διεθνή αγορά σήμερα.

Η Β’ Φάση-Εργαστήριο, θα πραγματοποιηθεί τον Οκτώβριο 2008 (1-3/10). Οι συμμετέχοντες θα αναπτύξουν τις προτάσεις παραγωγής τους σε μικρές ομάδες εργασίας με την καθοδήγηση σημαντικών εκπροσώπων τηλεοπτικών καναλιών και φορέων παραγωγής. Στο εργαστήριο συμμετέχουν 15-18 προτάσεις που αναπτύσσονται για τη διεθνή αγορά. Παράλληλα, εκπρόσωποι καναλιών θα παρουσιάσουν τους οργανισμούς που εκπροσωπούν και τα κριτήρια επιλογής προγράμματος. H επιλογή των προτάσεων που θα συμμετέχουν στην δεύτερη Φάση θα πραγματοποιηθεί από το EDN.

Απαραίτητη προϋπόθεση συμμετοχής είναι η γνώση της Αγγλικής γλώσσας ενώ η παρακολούθηση του προγράμματος είναι υποχρεωτική.

Βασικοί υποστηρικτές του Greek Documentary Lab είναι το Γαλλικό Ινστιτούτο Αθηνών, το Ινστιτούτο Goethe Αθηνών και το Βρετανικό Συμβούλιο Αθηνών.

Οι ειδικότητες που προσκαλούνται είναι οι ακόλουθες: Σκηνοθέτες, Σεναριογράφοι, Παραγωγοί, Ιστορικοί, Ερευνητές όλων των γνωστικών πεδίων και Δημοσιογράφοι.

Σημειώνουμε ότι όσοι συμμετείχαν στο πρόγραμμα τις προηγούμενες χρονιές (2005, 2006, 2007) έχουν δικαίωμα συμμετοχής και στο φετινό πρόγραμμα αλλά με νέα πρόταση ντοκιμαντέρ.

Διαδικασία κατάθεσης φακέλου συμμετοχής για το πρόγραμμα 2008:

Οι ενδιαφερόμενοι θα πρέπει να αποστείλουν στην ΕΡΤ το βιογραφικό τους σημείωμα (έως 2 σελίδες) και φιλμογραφία (αν υπάρχει). Προαιρετικά, μπορούν να καταθέσουν πρόταση ντοκιμαντέρ.
Όλα τα παραπάνω πρέπει να κατατεθούν στην αγγλική γλώσσα.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS 2008

Within the framework of the program for revalorization of Greek documentary production and in collaboration with the Hellenic Parliament TV, Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation-ERT organises for the fourth consecutive year the international "Training Program of Documentary Co-production" with the title "The Greek Documentary Lab, for co-productions"

It is mainly the follow-up of the extremely successful program ‘History Doc’ focused on production of historical documentaries, which from this year on extends its areas of study with subjects that concern not only history but also art, society, science, etc. The specialized program offers to Greek and foreign audiovisual professionals specialized know-how for international co-productions with international television channels and production companies. The co-organizers and co-financiers of the program are ERT and the Hellenic Parliament TV, while its content and implementation are made by the European Documentary Network-EDN in collaboration with ERT.

Distinguished professionals of various televisions such as BBC, ZDF, HISTORY CHANNEL, DISCOVERY CHANNEL etc., as well as independent directors and producers from all over the world participate in the workshops.

The program will take place in Athens and will be developed in two stages:

The first stage is a Seminar that will take place between the 2nd and the 6th of May 2008. Distinguished speakers will explain the different stages of production of a documentary from the birth of the idea to the production of the film. They will emphasize the writing of scenario, the research and the use of archival material, and the rights of using archives etc. At the same time, the focus will be given in the financing, the marketing and the distribution of documentaries on the international market. By completing the seminar, participants will have acquired an important network of contacts as well as the awareness of the international market today.

The second stage is a Workshop that will take place in October 2008 (1-3/10). The participants will develop their proposals in small groups with the guidance of important representatives of different television channels and production institutions. 15 to 18 proposals will be developed in the workshops for the international market. At the same time, different TV representatives will present the organizations they represent and also explain the criteria for the selection of their programs. EDN will select the proposals that will go on the second phase.

The knowledge of the English language is a prerequisite in order to attend this program while the attendance is compulsory.

The Ifa Institute (French Institute), the Goethe-Institut Athen and the British Council are the basic supporters of Greek Documentary Lab.

The professionals that are invited are the following: Directors, Screenwriters, Producers, Historians, and Researchers of all specialised fields and Journalists.

Those who participated in the previous programs (2005, 2006, 2007) have the right to attend this year's program, however with new proposal of documentary.

Procedure of applying for the attendance for the 2008 program:

Candidates will have to send to ERT their Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages) and their filmography (if applicable). Optionally, they can forward a proposal of documentary.

Moreover, all the above mentioned documents should be written in English.
